DK Publishing has a long history of producing high quality and visually engaging educational books and other materials on a variety of subjects. I still have the later edition of their Chronicle of the 20th Century in my library which presented the history of the last century through short, newspaper style articles and photographs that provided the reader with an immersive perspective of the time.
DK is still producing valuable educational products for both hardcopy and Kindle readers. With many of their ebooks, you’ll probably want to download Kindle for PC to accommodate the full-page color graphics but that’s a free download that can help to integrate the experience of these materials with the rest of the web.
Many of DK’s Kindle titles are currently available for $1.99 for a limited time and are definitely worth checking out. Here are just a few that are now available for quick download on Amazon.
